![]() All Reineveld Centrifuges boast a very robust construction which contributes to the machine’s overall low maintenance costs. Durability is another main feature of the machine, a must given that starch production is continuous. Reineveld centrifuges commonly have a long operating life. Well maintained centrifuges can operate at full capacity (24 hours/day, 7 days a week) for many years. Machines over 40 years old and still involved in daily starch production are no exception. Reineveld centrifuges are therefore a sound capital investment. The stainless steel basket is the heart of the Reineveld centrifuge. Our baskets are made of the highest quality duplex stainless steel that is highly corrosion resistant and as a result, especially well suited for applications in the food and beverage industry, where contaminant free product is a must. Superior design, the result of continuous research and engineering efforts, ensures consistently low residual moisture in the separated solids, as well as solids-free filtrates. The unique and patented construction of the Reineveld centrifuge places the basket at the front of the machine and in the center of gravity of the machine’s rotating mass (basket and load), while the cast iron housing body ensures optimal vibration damping which makes the machine run very smoothly. Together, these features allow the basket to achieve very high rotation speeds, and as a consequence, very high g-values. A higher g-value results in lower moisture and a shorter drying time. Reineveld centrifuges have consistently achieved a 32-36% moisture content. |
